Mixed eMotions about March

What March Brings Us....
My brother is back safe in Hawaii and will soon be joining us here in VA for a month-long visit. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am. I have missed him so much.
This month we also welcome our friends from England for a day or so. We haven't seen them since our wedding and we're really looking forward to spending more time together.
I'm pretty sure Tim's spring break from school is in March, too, which is always good since most of the time I feel like we just kind of pass each other in the night.

What March Doesn't Bring Us....
A baby, or even a referral. On March 14 we'll hit the one-year mark, one year of our application being officially accepted (of course, we started the process about five months prior to that). What was once projected as an 8-10 month wait from that acceptance has now turned into 16 months. So, hopefully we'll be matched with a child by June.
In the meantime,we're just enjoying our time together and continuing to purchase something each week. Last week I won a twice-used baby jogger on eBay! SCORE!!!! - Sarah

How exciting to see loved ones that you haven't seen in awhile! Also how exciting the you are in fingers reach of that dang referral! We are so excited for you both the day will come soooo quick. Nice to hear you are spending time together! I think Jeff and I in the last week have totally walked right by each other in total panic and anticipation of all the packing and getting things done before we leave Saturday.

Much Loves Your march Will bring good things :-)

I'm sorry that the wait is so long. I'm so excited about all of your nesting and getting ready though. It WILL happen, and hopefully very soon. You're so close!!

Curious - are you thinking of using the diaper service you wrote about in the mag?

I love your blog! I'm going to add your link to my blog so I can check in on your stories and your movement up that waiting list! I especially like that babble website you reference. I've spent half the morning looking through their great articles.

Just curious..., why on earth is your referral taking so long? Is it your agency? May I ask which one you're working with?

Best of luck on getting that referral soon!

Hi Sarah,
Well, I know wait times are increasing, but 16 months is about 4 times longer than than anything else I've heard...We've only been waiting two months, but I'm already feeling anxious. I don't know how you've managed!! At least you know you're almost there!
Take care and thanks for the chat!
